More trees
Avion Way has a great feel about it. And its the trees that make it.
Imagine St Quentin Avenue as a tree lined street. A few on street parking bays may have to go but it would well and truly be worth the effort for the level of comfort, shade and texture that would be achieved by adding large shade trees.

This is a general comment in regard to Heritage Buildings. So often you see them ruined by a wacky bright colour (Orange and Purple Beaurepairs on Stirling HW), or cheap shopfronts at street level. Perhaps Claremont council could provide funds for Heritage Architects advice regarding colours and shopfronts. Alternatively, make it a part of tenancy agreements that the tenant doesn't compromise old buildings in this way.
