We definitely don't need to be Melbourne!!! This structure was an amazing initiative for Melbourne, but we need our own, similarly the idea to have the "london eye in miniature" on our foreshore was also not the best.

I agree! The idea of a great civic place where the community can come together is a great notion and PErth doesn't have anything like that. Could the Perth Cultural Center provide that?
